This was a birthday cake designed for Fiza (18), Awra (5) & Afsa (1). They each liked a different character & wanted it on the cake. The characters that they wanted were Spongebob, Winne the pooh & a doll.
The cake was a rich chocolate fudge with chocolate filling & buttercream frosting. This was the first time I made a chocolate fudge cake & before making it I had a notion that a chocolate fudge cake would be dense & hard, not the case at all, this was mosit!
The design was left entirely up to me, so I thought it was best to have a garden birthday party theme with all three characters gathered around. Since all the kids were girls I decided to make the base pink. The kids' names were iced on the cake & their ages were put on flags which were stuck into the cake. I printed a small banner which had the words "Happy Birthday" on it.
